Cultural event organized by Agrupación Afro-Ecuatoriana "Mujeres Progresistas" (AAMP) in Ecuador. AAMP is building a center to promote and strengthen a vibrant, urban African Ecuadorian community by creating jobs and increasing women’s incomes through launching a restaurant, conference space, and a hostel.
Micro entrepreneurs take their skills and creativity and use them to create viable businesses that are needed in the community. AAMP is currently influencing more than 5,000 families with this project and has the potential to become a model for women’s leadership and economic development in the Afro-Ecuadorian community.
