Our grantee partner Asociación de Pescadores Artesanales del Caribe Sur (APACS) works to encourage responsible fishing consistent with government guidelines and international standards, control predatory lion fish and develop the skills to represent their interests effectively in Costa Rica.
The project benefits some 300 fishers and their families directly. A healthier coastal ecosystem provides food and economic security, benefits tourism and the entire local population.
